These are available at Target Stores in the USA and hobby and toy stores around the world.
SCX Compact is ideal for youngsters from 4 to 10 years of age, although many adults really enjoy this scale as well.
Classes of racing include NASCAR, Formula One, GT, DTM, Tuning, and MotoGP Motorcycles. Cars race in dedicated lanes.

SCX Original is the 1:32^nd scale system that dates back to 1962 when we launched it in Spain.
The range includes analog slot car race sets, individual cars, various track pieces, and trackside accessories.
Prices for race sets run from $99.99 to $279.99. This larger scale allows SCX to produce incredibly accurate reproductions of real racing cars.
SCX Original is recommended for children of 6 years and above, although we admit that the majority of our customers are adults - who value the opportunity to experience real racing sensations without actually getting behind the wheel of a real race car.
SCX analog cars will run on analog tracks produced by any manufacturer, and likewise, other manufacturers′ cars will run on SCX analog track with only minor modifications (like sanding off the depth of the slot guide).

In the digital system, 6 cars can race at a time on as few as 1 lane or as many as a dozen lanes (if you have the space to build such a large track).
Competitors can change lanes to pass their competitors, track lap times on a Chronometer, keep track of laps raced, and pull into the PitBox to refuel their cars as they run low on gas.
The cars have an intelligent computer chip in them that responds realistically to driver commands or the situation of the race (such as stuttering when they are running out of gas).
