I am rarin' to go up here in the mitten state. Any time you want to wrap an event/demo around an M.I.S weekend let me know. I have contacted several racers in this are and I am certain they would love to have a go. Sad news of late though, we lost our latest hobby shop to a horrible fire about a week ago. Nankin Hobby completely demo'd. Very sad.
FYI - the 2010 Detroit Grand Prix is rescheduled for 2011, lots time to plan a big presence for this event. More than 150,000 fans were in attendance for the 2008 bringing a $53M USD economic boost to the city and its suburbs. What a great venue to showcase SCX. Combo punch with the 2011 Detroit International Auto Show and the Woodward Dream Cruise and now your're talkin'. The Woodward Dream Cruise has the largest event attendance in the nation now. Talk about Cudas...
Let us know and we will (re) ignite the fire up here!

I guess that saves me the gas from driving down there to check the place out again...
I guess I need to stop sending people there to buy SCX Digital stuff then... I have their address on my flyer... along with other hobby shops.
I am setup at Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, at least until the weekend after Easter, then I might pull out as the place dies down...
I too am ready to do demos in MI... I guess I will not be doing a demo at Nankin... I was going to bring my track there.
Heck I might even stop by the demo in Tenessee... since i need to drive down to see parents in a few months (they are in Florida, and Tennesee is usually the half-way rest point for my driving)
I am also trying to get people to do monthly races in MI... (See my web page, when I get that info up).

Keep you posted, and I will try to get any of the Nationwide Series drivers to stop by and play if possible.

Zach and jmoncer still setting up.

Zach's friend Michael helping kids drive.

A little girl driving.

A shot of the track and everyone racing while Michael watches.

Zach racing with Trevor Bayne and Ricky Carmichael. Zach seems to be giving some pertinent tips to the pros!!!

We had a great time. Thanks to jmoncor for providing all the track (four lanes wide!) and lots of cars. Everything came off without a hitch.
Afterward, we hit the local go-kart track for a spin and then headed over to Rafeman's place for some more scxd racing until after midnight. Very awesome indeed!

Thanks for putting on such a great looking event. IŽll bet a track like that allows 6 racers to really battle each other.
