Soon IHobby will start, SCX will have a large presence at the show as will slot racing. 2 clubs will have tracks set up from what I understand! The SCX North America team will be on hand to talk with slotters who come to visit us at the show.

And there will be the announcement of a new slot car at the show! Sorry no clues... but it marks the first slot car in a completely new genre for SCX! It's a 1/32 car and it will be a surprise to everyone I think!

Show coverage will be on this thread, photos of the new car will be released here, on SCXWorldWide.com first.

Hmmmm.....

If it's a new genre for SCX then I'm going w/ something on the Asian side of the market. It would make sense since they opened the new Shanghai store.

My fingers are crossed that it will be a Datsun 240Z based on the SCCA liveries. Those Z's always looked great.

SCX Has had a wonderful display at iHobby the last few years and visiting their area is always the highlight of the show for me.

To have the chance to play on an unlimited basis with the latest slotcars and track is worth the effort to go to the show IMHO.

Don't forget the after show racing Fri-Sat-Sun at nearby Mid-America Raceway and Hobbies.

I'm hoping against hope for classic LeMans or classic NASCAR. Hopefully it can be made digital, what ever it is.

I go with John's and LD's votes. CanAm cars would be sweet as would the Datsun 240Z. Those look simply beautiful.

As someone else pointed out, it could be linked to Asia and the opening of the Shanghai store, so I'm going for slot rickshaw racing! huh.gif

Wish I could be there. I will be close by...but running our own little slot party.

What ever you announce, I'll most likely be happy. Any new slot car is a good one.

I vote for a SEMI! I went to a semi race last summer, what a hoot! If that is not possible how about pick-up trucks or hummers! "Now for something completely different" AKA Monty Python!

I will love to see that scx makes the Rolex sport prototype cars!! and the Grand Am!!

More DTM decos

More GT3 decos and cars!

and more F1 decos! and wtcc decos!!

At least to have 6 different decos for each type of car!

Regards!

Marco.

A new "genre" - hmm.

SCX already does GT and LM prototypes ie sports cars. DPs are sports cars. Nope that's not it.
Asian GTs - nope same genre different continents.

Formula D! - No. SCX already tried the whole tuner thing.

Moto GP for the 1:32 track - maybe, but it is not a new genre to SCX.

They've already done Rally, Classic Rally, NASCAR, a few non-race cars so it's not street cars...

Rat Rods? No. That doesn't seem to be SCX style.

I'm going with a low end entry level series of car for beginners. NINCO already has a line like that. SCX might need something like that to compete.

My guess is a low end beginner style car. Which car? It will be a mold they already have but with more flexi bits, blacked out windows and no interior.

I'm thinking... Hold on... Dave seems excited...

It's a low end GT3 911.
